A brand new site for Farnham Flash Festival! The event that was only ever going to be a one-off is heading for its third year, and the interest is growing. Improving our web presence has to be a part of that growth - and part of what encourages and feeds the growth. There are a couple of technical glitches still to iron out before we can really start shouting about this new site, but it won't be long now.
What are the hopes for FFF19? There are lots. Top of the list has to be that it will be bigger, better, more various and more visible than the first two were. High on the list is the fervent hope that the established track record of the FFFestival will attract more funding so that we can raise our marketing game to bring more people in, so that we can set up a Performers Support fund - because in amongst established amateur and professional companies and groups and soloists are new comers to the public arena, students and the unwaged for whom even the low registration fee and the small charge for insurance cover are major items. We're also hoping to increase the visibility of our performers and venues by profiling them more on the site - having them participate in this Blog, for instance, contributing to a YouTube channel. It's really exciting that departments at UCA are expressing interest in enabling students to participate, so who knows what might show up. The possibilities are endless. The current expertise is limited (though learning curves, including this one, are being climbed regularly and for the most part successfully), and we're wide open to offers of inspired and creative help. What do YOU think should show up on this page? Or anywhere else around THE Fringe for Farnham? Get in touch. Join us. Join in. Make it happen.
